In Petco I have Pettitte, Burnett, Oswalt and Webb.

[b:3775c09233]I want to use Heilman as my go to middle reliever with Nathan closing (preferably 8th and 9th innings).[/b:3775c09233]

Heilman is set to avoid during blow out and Nathan is avoid during blowout, slow hook and avoid before 8th inning.

My other clowns are 9R McCLung, 9R Putz, 9L Stanton and 9L Gryboski.

The clowns are all set to avoid weak side, quick hook, mop up and max 1-2 innings.

In manager strategy I have closer usage regular, relief usage normal, setup man both ways is Nathan with closer blank.

Should this work?

(This thread gets the most hits so that is why I posted here.)

I think that if you want Heilman as your-set-up guy and have him pitch most of the innings, you have to put him SET-UP both L & R, with Nathan as your closer L & R.

I agree with johnnyblazers but in addition I would reccomend that you set you closer as maximize and your RP setting as aggresive. If you don't use aggressive your 9L and 9R guys will be left in the game too long and will face too many of the "wrong" hitters.

Set Nathan as not to come in before the 8th inning. Maybe put a slow hook on Heilman and Nathan as well.
