If during the live draft, you have proxies set to yes. The column where it says "remove if group picked", if you say yes does that mean the group will be removed if you pick someone out of that group or if someone else picks a player that is in that group? I am assuming the 1st example but i wanted to get verification.

Your assumption is correct: Once your top remaining choice in your top-ranked group is picked, all other choices marked "yes" will be dropped, and priority will switch to your second-ranked group. And don't forget to hit "save" on the proxies.

Thanks for the info, I was hoping that was the case. Really would have screwed up my draft otherwise...lol

I'd like to clarify a little further.

Let's say in a "group" I have 4 Shortstops, and I have ranked them 1 to 4. I want them in that order, 1,2,3,4.

If SOMEONE ELSE picks my number 1 pick, then 2,3,4 are still there and it will proxy #2 for me if no one else picks him when it gets to my turn.

Now if it gets to me and it casts my #2 pick, then 3 and 4 are immediately droppped from my proxy list - FOR THAT GROUP only.

The answer supplied here seemed to imply that if [b:e5f5f1a549]anyone[/b:e5f5f1a549] picked any person in my group list, all the rest are dropped, which is not correct.

Did I just read the answer and make my own assumptions or does this clear up things just a bit more ?

And finally, it will always pick from your lowest "group" first. So if I have setup this group list of shortstops and called it group "2" - then if I have ANY players in group 0 or group 1, it will ignore group 2 until that's the lowest group left in your proxy list.

The logic here being - "I want a shortstop first" and then "I want a 3rd baseman" next. My SS group is group 2 and my 3B group is group 3.
It will never REACH group 3 until it has made a pick in group 2 and removed the unpicked players (in this case players ranked 3 and 4 from group 2). Assuming again that there are no players at the top of your list in group 0 or 1.

Thanks

The only caution is that you should not group players unless they are all worthy of selection in that round. You might group Ripken and Banks as "lefty killing SS to draft early" and if they both get weaseled from you, put Cronin and Trammell in a group a little lower.
