I sent a request to join this group a couple of weeks ago for this very reason. If any admins for the group are reading this please accept my request, I promise to be good.

OakAth & Paul, I joined the FB SOM group a few weeks ago. I don't recall getting an invite, I just jumped in. It says it's an Open Group, which makes me think anyone can post to it/read it. Just type in Strat-o-matic in the FB search bar, and try posting. I have no idea how to "clear" someone to join it, if that is even necessary.

Wacky wiki

[quote:18c43dd7ec="bernieh"]There is one already (http://somonline.wikia.com/wiki/SOM_Online_Announcements) but nobody really knows about it. I've added it to our standard error page that you see when a server, front-end or database, is down, but since this is a network issue, we can't even show you that error page.[/quote:18c43dd7ec]

Bernie, thanks for all your help behind the scenes in getting the site back up. When problems occur, I know that there is a lot happening that you can't tell us and you are probably more frustrated with these problems than any of us. Whenever you get around to writing a book about your TSN experience, I'll be first in line to buy it!

I went to the wiki site set forth above. The last post there that had anything to do with TSN online Strato was two years ago. There were also a couple of posts in September, 2009 that had nothing to do with online Strato.

Since site outages seem to be a recurring problem, perhaps it would be best to post the link to the wiki site as a "sticky" at the top of all the online Strato forums so that it could be bookmarked by all TSN online SOMBB gamers and checked when the main site goes down.

Due to the frequency and length of site outages, TSN can no longer put its head in the sand and pretend such outages don't exist or that such outages won't recur. It's just the nature of the beast. While the outages are regrettable and obviously are caused by factors beyond TSN's control, TSN CAN CONTROL the info given to its loyal customers by simply posting updates offsite. While the outages can't be controlled, the PR damage from such can be mitigated by keeping customers informed. To fail to do so is not only inexcusable, but is bad business as well. - Bernie W
