I don't get how it says in one sentence that they have to be [b:d29082ccb8]drafted and signed[/b:d29082ccb8] to be eligible, but then in the next sentence say they only have to be drafted. :?: :?:

That makes no sense. I didn't see anything for 2010 on this subject and didn't go back to 2008...yet

I've made my ruling on Cubit's prospect pick, so we're up and running again.

And to remind everyone - this year's MLB draft class is not eligible for this year's prospect draft. It was supposed to be in the rules but I used an old copy which hadn't been updated. The next update will have this spelled out clearly, which should make this a problem that doesn't repeat.

Thanks fellows, and Ninersphan in particular for digging deep. I just acted on the Rules as stated in the latest version with the operative words "drafted or signed," and then acted on them. Naturally, I thought I was within my rights, but I've beaten a hasty retreat and Kaviksdad has ruled fairly.

Sorry I raised the point, but I suspect had it not been me, we'd have run into this again before too much longer.

Now I've got to go look for a 2nd pick in this round... :?

No problems here Ted - and you followed the rules (however incomplete or inaccurate) as you saw them. I would too in your place.

I'm finding that SOM is becoming too much like work. I'm starting to miss the autoleagues where spreadsheets and roster updates are unheard of.
