Very good point....and yes a lot of my players make me cringe when they grab their gloves and leave the dugout for the field.

I personally think error ratings are very important. Think of every error an infielder makes as an extra single for the competition. If you take an infielder who makes 35 errors, and erase 35 of his offensive singles for that year (thus balancing his net impact SEPARATE from range), you'll see what I mean.

That said, I've never played a season with a 3 or 4 at 2b or ss...I'll play a scrub just to get the range.
