I'm with Petro - people don't get run over by SUV's, they get run over by someone driving an SUV. Same thing on dope, it's the driver who causes the delays.
Logically, though, I'd say that if there was a player who would cause the next manager to tank, it would be a popular high $ guy with no comparable player at his position, like Hornsby or Brett.
