TSN emails you a draft notification after you start a league. If
its and autodraft team, the message simply says "your team is
ready." If its a LIVE league, it gives you a list of the 300 players,
in order.

Several managers say they don't get one. You have to have a valid email or it gets lost in cyber space, or something. The contents of the
email look like below (from opening night of ATG6):

Wow!!!! I was not aware of this tidbit of information, I just tested it out and it is true. Maybe this explains why once in a blue moon I receive a message from a manager in my league that generates from a team of his another league........playing with the URL's? Personally, I believe Bernie should make this job one on any list he is compiling and rectify the situation immediately. This is a serious breech of what I thought was private communication and will alter how I correspond on a go forward basis.

I honestly believe that if I drafted all 500k players in the autodraft 80 mill leagues I would still be able to put together a good enough team to compete and possibly win. Of course certain strategies would be harder to implement (like an all 1 defence). This of course would be easier to do in ATG.

I didn't mean that I wud use 500k players in the season. I wud put together a team from the entire remaining talent pool.
My wife is right..sometimes I do not have clarity of speech...mean what u say and say what u mean. BTW I'm travelling to Lake Placid on vacatin next week..any suggestions food and hotspots?

This has gotten off-track, but I will chime in one last time.

With ATG 5/6/7 the player pool is sooo huge, the atuodraft doesn't make a difference IMHO, so this probably isn't the best forums for this.

Now with the 200x games... it's a whole different story, and it really needs a change.

Lake Placid - FL or NY?

Toronto50, I live close to Lake Placid, and if I were looking for some good food and hot spots I would go to..... TORONTO!

Just kidding man! But seriously, you can walk from one end of town to the other in about 15 minutes, so it will be hard for you to miss any of the clubs or restaurants in town. Right in the heart of town is Lake Placid Steak and Seafood... have dinner there at least once. A few spots that you might miss if you didn't know about them are: The Hungry Trout which is at the base of Whiteface Mountain... about 5 miles east of town on Rte 86; About 5 miles to the west on Rte 86 (on the way to Saranac Lake) is a local fav called The Tail of the Pup... kind of a Diners/Drive-Ins/Dives type of place with awesome ribs; If you take your wife shopping in Plattsburgh (about an hour away) then make sure to eat at either The Butcher Block (great steaks and seafood) and/or Anthony's (more gourmet/exotic fare), both restaurants are on the main commercial strip and are easy to find.

If you really want to do it up right though, I'd take the 90 minute road trip to Montreal... but if thats the case, I'll have to pass you on to some of our French Canadien friends who know the city better than I (where's luckyman when you need him).

If it is NY, I would also suggest hiking while you were there. I lived a couple of hours from there at one point, and there are some great trails to hike. You can see some amazing sites.

If you don't mind a 2 hour drive, I would suggest going to Old Forge, NY which is still in the Adirondacks. They have different shops on both sides of the main road going through town. The wives seem to like to shop and enjoy Old Forge.
