I get to see my last prospect pick, Garrett Richards debut tonight in Yankee Stadium :)

Always cool when your kid from the minors gets the call, you know it's a long a road and the call is just the beginning but still, pretty cool to watch.

Qk, I guess my rapid moves back and forth to Japan led me to miss that little bit of news, A true bummer, since I thought I had a gem there, and not just for the distant future. Pitchers....!

Well... Richards' debut could have been a little friendlier but all in all it's always good to see the youngsters come to the bigs, and no mtter what anyone says, no matter if it's a new park and all... MLB debut in Yankee stadium... that's gotta be special.

I trade Martin Prado and send Daves #4 2012 FA pick back to him (from a previous trade) in exchange for Brennan Boesch and Dave's #2 pick.

We liked Boesch a lot, but with OF looking like a strength next year (keep it up, Dez Jennings!) decided to go all-in for this season in an attempt to get back in the WC race if nothing else.

Hopefully our pen will be good enough to take the hit of losing that #2 pick, we had it targeted for an RP....
