5 20 game winners anyone?

I understand that max. I was just pointing out the one very very slim shot I see. You would have to be way better at getting bullpen innings to one guy, have a really good record and get really really really lucky as well

For some real-world examples, the '98 Yankees, who won 114 games, had one twenty-game winner (Cone), and their 4-5 starters won 13 and 12, respectively. The 2001 Mariners, with 116 wins, also had only one twenty-game winner (Moyer). They had four fifteen-game winners, but no one else with more than 10.

While MLB teams customarily have more than 9-10 pitchers get wins during the course of the season (and thus more dilution of wins), a 110-win season in SOM (assuming no shenanigans like in the league that Adrian posted) is virtually unheard of. I can't see it happening, or even coming close, under normal competitive circumstances.

I would be curious to see the high-win total from a reliever on a 4-man SP staff where all four SPs had 20 wins.

I don't expect to see five 20-win starters, but four 20-win starters plus a super reliever of sorts is maybe more likely.

I had one team in ATG2 with four 20-game winners:
Scott, 21; Lonborg, 20; Carlton, 20; Drysdale, 20
But the most wins from my 'pen was McEnaney with 4.
It was a 91-win team.

Looks like a couple have came close with the 5th at 13 or 14 wins. Wonder if it would be possible to come in with 5 15 game winners.

One of the things that made me think of this was the Rangers having 5 10 game winners with about 8-9 starts left for each. Given their improved bullpen and the streaky nature of that team this year I think they have an outside shot at pulling the feat off. Figured if it could be done someone in strat with the thousands of leagues would have pulled it off.

OK, so this team finished tonight with 99 wins. 5 man staff that won 20, 20, 19, 16 & 15 games. Only 83 1/3 IP from my pen.

Back in ATG4 I had a team in a non-themed league with a four man staff in which my number 4 pitcher had 20 wins. My number 3 guy only had 11 though! Not sure about this link thingy, but I will try.
