any monster seasons from jeter?

Alvarndoc makes a good point about rings; I believe the NBA player you mention is Robert Horry, who has a basket-full of rings primarily coming off the bench. He was a clutch performer and not just a spectator, but not in any way a HOF candidate despite the ring count.

BTW, this post is NOT a shot at Jeter who is tremendous, just a point about using rings as a criterion.

Agree with djmacb...depends. Sometimes values aren't captured by the typical avg/oba/slg stats. There are other aspects to a card and its value.

Posting any results from uncapped leagues is anomalous. Too many ways to skew it.

I like both Jeter cards, but I think the 7mil card performs better. I've gotten monster seasons out of both cards though. More big seasons than bad. Have only needed to drop or trade him once.

here's a nice season in Hilltop from his 7mil card.

ARod sure stunk up the joint, though...

.288/.382/.629 with 60 HR and 158 RBI.
What a suck.

Look at the splits vs righties and lefties -- ARod really killed righties.

Granted he is 4R, but that is something to keep in mind if in a lefty scarce league.

Not a lot of right-handed righty killers. Frank Robinson comes to mind.

[quote:c2a7dd3420="djmacb"]I have some doubts that the win percentages are normalized correctly in DD since the weighted averages appear to exceed .5, but hopefully the numbers are relatively correct.[/quote:c2a7dd3420]
I'm not sure what you mean...

Too many potential combos to make that a worthwhile endeavor, except at 200M / Live and DD doesn't track Live.

I'm just thinking of a pivot table with about 20 2B and another 20 SS. I am appalled at the design of this construct.
