That's great, but I was looking for updated rosters - not standings.

I am a bit behind on the roster sheets ... was hoping kaviksdad was up to date myself. I am swamped with work at the moment and probably don't have the time to get it done.

I'm not sure how T came up with the draft order for the supplemental draft, but according to the rules I have it doesn't appear correct. So here's my 2 cents

Here's the combined win/loss records for season 1 - and only season 1 is used to determine the draft order for the supplemental draft according to the rules:

Nythawk 48 114
Geoff 62 100
Evan 65 97
Smokey 68 94
Jlaw 68 94
TomPierce 70 92
Cshannajr 71 91
Cubit 77 85
Josh 77 85
ThisisRay 77 85
Tim 79 83
Rant 79 83
MrBBW 80 82
Page2 85 77
Redbeards 85 77
Tcochran 86 76
Sjkorte 87 75
Terry 87 75
Smitty 93 69
Turtle 96 66
Kaviksdad 97 65
JoeKendall 99 63
Spider 99 63
Qksilver 109 53

There is nothing in the rules regarding split leagues, or whether the "up and comers" have preference in any way over the "elites" in determining draft order for the supplemental draft. If we were strictly in a 24 team format, rather than 2 separate 12 team leagues, all the owners from Rant on up would participate in the lottery, with the rest going by w/l records. Tie breakers for the supp draft are broken by the previous season's head to head records, not cumulative head to head records (which are used for only the spring free agent draft).

[quote:c077f71707="tcochran"][quote:c077f71707="Rant"]Just curious....is next year's draft order based on aggregate record or aggregate second tier then aggregate first tier teams (ie the best team of tier two season two has pick #12)?

Also are we definitely having a second season for tier two?[/quote:c077f71707]

Yes to both.[/quote:c077f71707]

When Rant asked on May 13, I responded that the draft order would be based on aggregate second tier then aggregate first tier teams (ie the best team of tier two season two has pick #12).

That still makes sense to me, since I can't see why the Pittsburgh Pirates should draft in front of the Sacramento River Cats.

I can't seem to keep up with the rule changes here - seems like there's a new way of doing things every time we get ready to play a season.

I'm going to finish the year and participate in season 2, but this league has become far too time consuming for me (and a little frustrating, to be honest). So I'll be leaving once season 2 is over. As I am planning on reducing my entire SOM participation (when it becomes more work than fun it's time to go has always been my motto), this seems good place to start. But it won't be the last - I'll be moving on in several other leagues as well.

The upside is there's lots of time to find a replacement for me.

Ditto for me, too, on all counts.

I nominate the Turtle and/or Qksilver to be the new commish...

Never frustrated here. Love the format (or rather the reduced player pool) too much -- even trying to start a second 24-team keeper. If you step down tcochran, I'll gladly do it.

Hey Turtle, I plan on playing in season 2, but if you'd like to step into the commish role right now, that's fine with me...

I guess I can do it. Might need a vice-commish for when I am on vacation and to approve minor details. QK, are you game for that?
