Bizarro...how did my post about Red Smith and his penchant for hitting doubles end up under Andy's last post? I quoted Andy but it looks like my post ended up with Andy instead of his quote being part of what was my last comment (Twilight Zone music plays)....

I forgot Lefty Gomez was assigned to my cross town rivals. How should we proceed in getting him to his proper owner?

The simple solution, Kevin, is to trade him to me straight up for Rube Waddell, who's ineligible to both of us. Then you can fix your roster through waivers. Best, Marty

The two Yankee teams are gonna be tricky each time; the two managers will have to work stuff out like this sometimes.

The Yankees have some of the best talent, but their bench is not plentiful. Kind of a trade-off I guess.....

Remember also, just because they are in the Reds-pre grouping or Giants-pre grouping does not mean they are eligible.......1926 and above
