Round 1 Pre-Draft Rankings

Postby The Godfather » Tue Aug 16, 2011 11:53 pm

Just for a laugh, I wanted to share this with you guys. I had a very quick formula I tested to rank the teams prior to our draft.

Here is how I had them ranked for Round 1 (playoffs teams in bold):

1. WAS
2. ARI <-----my pick; 3 of the next 4 in my rankings were playoff teams!!
[b:b5a0160370]2. LAA[/b:b5a0160370]
[b:b5a0160370]2. NYM[/b:b5a0160370]
[b:b5a0160370]5. MIL[/b:b5a0160370]
6. CHC
[b:b5a0160370]7. KC[/b:b5a0160370]
8. SEA
9. BAL
10. HOU
11. PIT
12. CLE

I guess there was a reason why ARI fell to me at #9! I had planned to take KC but they were picked 8th. :(

Just sitting home watching the hometown Rangers beat up on the Angels. This is two in a row. If the Angels don't have one of their big 3 going they look pretty bad. the bullpen comes equipped with kerosene to keep the fire going. Seems like a strong resemblance to the Halos team that just won the first round in 2010. Don't know what this means for the next go round, but it makes one wonder. Can these guys hold the line for another go round? Halos

The Red Sox only had 10 pitchers so I drafted Felix Hernandez. I'll cut him right after the draft.

You shouldn't have said anything. We may have never noticed. We're not the brightest bulbs.

Looks like only Mofo and the two World Series teams left to fill the league. The World Series teams are too busy with postgame shows, parades, and counting their World Series winnings. I can see why they may be the last to load. They should know that the "Party is over"!! They got targets on their backs and the 10 of us have high-powered scopes and higher-powered teams. This should be interesting.

Based on real life stats and records, Coach and Mofo should have the advantage over the 3rd tier Brews and Angels. We shall see!

I'm going to try to load in about an hour via my iPhone. Otherwise it won't be until late tonight.

The Dodgers may not have celebrations and parades to delay us, but we get stuck in bankruptcy proceedings.

I think Randy and evan will be even better in this league. They have had a whole season to tinker with line-ups etc...They are still a threat even with the better teams in this league.....I wish I would have threw in a rule where the winners could have added a free agent from their choice of the losing league 1 teams. That would have let the Brew crew and Halos address any weakness they had and helped to strengthen then for the better teams...Oh well, maybe next time.[quote:4960c78f48][/quote:4960c78f48][quote:4960c78f48][/quote:4960c78f48]
