looking to move or add picks

Postby qksilver69 » Wed Aug 17, 2011 3:29 pm

I am looking to move up in the prospect draft or add picks.

I have the following for bait:

Uggla
Chipper
Casey Kelly (prospect)
Bud Norris

Give a holler if interested, also willing to swap FA picks as a part of a deal.

Hey guys - this is just an FYI - I know we are in the middle of a prospect draft, and that my turns are coming up, but I have to big things going on that may cause me to not be around this coming week.

My wife's due date for our second child is Monday and she's about ready to blow. In addition, we had a terrible tragedy involving 4 football players (and one of my baseball players) at the HS where I teach and coach. Four were killed and 4 injured today at the interchange of the AC Expressway and NJ Parkway. I am friends with one of the fathers and coached the one boy and taught two of the others.

I have a feeling this will be a busy and draining week, so please accept my apologies if I hold the draft up a bit. I will do my best to check in and pick in as timely a manner as possible.

Wow Smitty, what a week of mixed emotions. Very happy to hear your 2nd is almost here, very sad to hear about the kids you & your school lost.

Thoughts go out to you, hope all goes well with you & the wife!

Thanks guys -

Still waiting on my wife and new baby - she's apparently a stubborn one.

We had a vigil at the school last night for the four boys killed. It's just unfathomable. The other four boys were there. It's crazy, four are dead, and the other four are walking around last night with just stitches and scratches. Dean Khoury was my RF and Alex Denafo is my 2B. I appreciate your sentiments and please keep the families in your prayers. It's gonna be one hell of a week.

Smitty, I saw the headline come up on the front page of Yahoo. Unfathomable is an understatement. My 16-year old son is a basketball jock. As I think of all the road trips he's been on, it never occurred to me he wouldn't come home. I don't know any of these kids, and I was sick to my stomach for a long time. I can't even imagine being in that school in any capacity.

Keep your head up. Comfort who you can. Bring in a healthy new baby into this world. We'll be here when you are ready.
