Bernie should just get rid of the trade option...

[quote:4c4e1c1ccb]Your comment is silly given the real thrust of the post was that players wont trade unless they are ripping the other player off - not that a player merely doesnt like the offers he is receiving...[/quote:4c4e1c1ccb]You're right, I'm not being fair. I'll rephrase.

"I made a bid on eBay, but it was less than the reserve price the seller placed on the item. I think that person set their reserve price much too high. Please shut down eBay."

Honeslty I don't even consider trading after the season starts. It's pretty rare that any meaningful help can be given to both teams involved.

Whether someone accepts a trade or not is up to them. I'd settle for the courtesy of someone reading my trade offer and then doing something. Reject, reply, counteroffer. Especially after you asked for an offer for a certain player.

I'm not offended you didn't like my offer. I am annoyed to have to keep checking back on the slim chance you might accept it after thinking it over.

Yes, I agree. There was a similar thread awhile back about whether ignoring trade offers was poor etiquette. Surprisingly, I think the poll favored "no, it wasn't". But, I think that thread was missing the point of the question. The question was whether or not it was poor [i:bb7d366bf3]etiquette [/i:bb7d366bf3]to just ignore the offer. The answer, which I would hope was obvious, is YES, of course its poor etiquette. It's no different than if you are standing next to someone and they ask you a question. You don't ignore them and pretend you didn't hear it (at least I hope you don't). You are not required to strike up a conversation with them, but I would hope you wouldn't ignore them. A proposed trade is no different - "hey would you like to trade so and so for so and so?". A perfectly sufficient response would be to hit the reject button, indicating your answer is no - that's it.

Actually...I think the poll was weather or not poor trade etiquette was seen as a pervasive problem (i'm paraphrasing, but that was the gist of it). I think most people said they didn't view it as a problem, but DID agree that it is poor etiquette to NOT reply in some fashion, even if it's to "Reject" a trade.

I love Grienke.

Just gotta realize it's not the Grienke card from a season or 2 ago and he's a 3rd-4thSP in THIS set.

FWIW...

When used in the right park with the right salary cap and with the right parks in your division, certain players can be "worth" their salary.

Playing in PNC. I wanted all 1's out there, and this was the closest I could get. This also was the[u:10ac0ebc07] Flirtin w/ Disaster league[/u:10ac0ebc07].
