I had a really fun league going, once upon a time, with several half wives. Problem was, the whole wife found out, and quickly I had no wife.

My wife played one team in ATG 4, didn't do well. Then bought a 5 pack and played 2 2008 teams and 3 ATG5 teams...by the time she put up the ATG 5 teams she new what she was doing, her 3 ATG 5 teams posted a .549 win pct and one made the play-offs. She then told me she'd play again when I started posting a win pct even close to hers. She hasn't played since, and my winning pct is going down in 6 not up.  8-)

Ha! The comments are getting to her! She's starting to crack!
I don't think I have to worry about her becoming a Strat addict though, she's too...frugal is a better word than cheap I guess.

I already proposed this twice. Only had two responses in 3 weeks. Both times. I'm not painting any toe nails either! One night she couldn't sleep and when I got up to get ready for work in the morning, sitting on the can, I noticed "GOOD" on the top of my left foot and "MORNING" on the top of my right...in permanent black magic marker. Ha-Ha...ok that was funny, until I was just about out the door and noticed the big black moustache...in permanent black magic marker! I'm not opening that can of worms again!
I'm just wondering how she managed to get on here 5 times to vote "NO!"???? :?

Sounds like something you should do no?

Talk about baseball porn.... wowza...

My wife once tried to talk me into spending some time in the basement with her while she scrapbooked, help her organize pictures and cut letters and such. I told her after she entered a Strat league with me, I'd gladly help. Consider that she once inquired why a woman named Shirley Mule was listed with all the players.

She never asked again.

Well....I am doing something that grinds me to have to do but....I'm giving up! Thought I had her on the ropes for awhile but then she told me "if I could actually [i:12ec6e6fea]hold the cards in my hand to look at them[/i:12ec6e6fea], I'd draft!" I knew the next thing she was gonna tell me was "...and don't use all our printer ink up to print cards!" Foiled! I thank all of you for the posts (she was amused by Nev's "pole" comment btw, as well as several others! lol) and votes. I still had fun harassing her! :P

Well, it's probably for the best anyway. Woman shouldn't be playing Strat. They lack the...how can I put this...the mental fortitude to compete at anything above a basic rudimentary level. Plus, they're no good at math.

MY wife and I are very competitive, whether it's playing Scrabble, cribbage, EuroRails, Bananagrams, you name it.
I've never once even considered asking her to try Strat. She's not into baseball. She likes football, and I've tried to get her to do fantasy football, but to no avail.
By the way, I'm an editor and she's a writer. Still not an even match in Scrabble; she beats me 70 to 80% of the time.
