Just an informal poll to see who has worked best for you as a power source when playing small ball -- that is besides the expected small ball players like Cobb, Speaker, etc. -- to keep the HR happy teams honest.

Kiner or Greenberg in $100M leagues? Goslin or Cepeda in $80M leagues? Simmons no matter what?

Without a doubt or me its the expensive Frank Thomas. Lots of natural HRs, walks and is bullet proof. And when you go on the road to a bomber park, he becomes the Incredible Hulk.

Barry Bonds.

I like Frank Thomas too.

Hack Wilson if you're in a DH league.

I have had great seasons at $80M with the cheap Stargell card as a DH. You may want a platoon mate for him; I just usually catch Parrish with him as a counterbalance.

Aaron always seems to hit for me, either the expensive or the 8.90 card.

A little OT but...

Does Tubby Scales play in small ball? Or is that just too many errors to overcome?

I've often asked the same question myself. Where does Tubby do best?

Maybe he's a DH and Super Infield Backup.
