New 24-team keeper league

I can't tell who's turn it is if we're on the clock.

Are we still on the clock?

This thing needs a present commissioner that can fix whatever isn't working right. At least until the bugs are ironed out.

[quote:83e871c1a7="derfs"][quote:83e871c1a7="superflymacdaddyjuice"]the clock is right. the on deck player has to make a pick now.

sjkorte has to pick to restart the draft. thisisdan26's time initiated at 1711 elapsed at 1741. I don't think you can skip multiple picks...[/quote:83e871c1a7]

But Turtle turned on the clock after 17:41.[/quote:83e871c1a7]

because that is when the last pick was. trust me. the clock is on. it is working. it will start again when sjkorte picks. If thisisdan picks before sjkorte then the player after sjkorte will be able to pick.

The last pick was 17:11. And Turtle put in a time to expire (17:41) that had already passed.

exactly.

thisisdan was on the clock til 1741. he is now "skipped" should sjkorte pick manually. the clock will then reset. turtle did not "set it", rather he just turned it on, it set itself to 1741 because the last pick was at 1711 and it is set to a duration of thirty minutes. only one player can be skipped in a row.

Clock is off, for now

Postby travelingjack » Sun Sep 04, 2011 9:04 pm

Since it's unclear when the clock will start in the morning and it's a holiday weekend I went ahead and turned off the clock for now, will plan on turning back on tomorrow around 9 AM EST. I'll contact dan and sjkorte to make sure they know they are up. Turtle- hope I'm not stepping on your toes, I know everyone should have been ready for the clock but since they are not I decided to turn clock off until morning.

Superfly, thanks for clarifying. I'll leave clock off until morning in any event.

My point is that starting the clock at a point that does not coincide with the last pick is folly. Please explain to me how starting the clock at roughly 18:45 (Dope time) and then having the current pick expire at 17:41 (Dope time) will ever work?

I am just trying to explain to you how it works. if you have had the clock elapse on you, you can always pick after your clock. i am sure someone can explain it better than i.

then i don't understand your concern, exactly. is it that thisisdan's clock should not have started until turtle enabled the clock?

Derfs, I think what superfly is trying to say is that consecutive picks cannot be skipped. Thisisdan's clock expired at 17:41, so sjkorte is free to pick manually (not by proxy) at any time. Once sjkorte picks, subsequent picks can be made via proxy. This would be the same no matter when Turtle had turned the clock on.

Am I correct on this?
