Does everyone want Williams/Mays/Ruth in the OF, and afraid of the lower priced leagues?

My problem with $60M leagues is that they can take so long to fill.

I'd be interested in signing up on a message board list so that I'd know when there are 11 others ready to join the league and enter their teams.

That can take longer? Wait for the sign up list to fill, and then wait for everyone to realize there's 12 teams and then enter them.

I'll check some actuarial tables to see if I'll make it to the start of this league.

If 11 more people don't join this league, I will continuously and shamelessly promote it. Certainly causing nausea and chronic fatigue among you.

So for the health and well being of everyone here, please join the league.

Thanks

Just to let you know BK, I'm working on a team right now and I'll probably sign up this week sometime. Just to clarify, this is probably, not definite. :)

If I join this will be my first $60m league. Any words of wisdom for me?

Only 10 spots left, better hurry

Need to find the gems as far as value is concerned that fit your home park. Since there's no room for Ruth or any other stars, you need to find the best middle value, and decent enough very cheap players that have some value to the team, such as speed or D, or that aren't complete holes in the lineup or a sure loss every time HAL puts them on the mound. You will have to sacrifice at some positions, you're unlikely to be ecstatic about every lineup or rotation spot.

Thanks and good luck.

Is there any change in how you allocate funds at $60m?

I've read a lot that a good rule of thumb is 40% pitching and 60% hitting. And I know that there can be wild variation depending on what you are trying to do.

But, is that still a pretty good estimate for a typical team?

I never figure out the allocation, I just go with the best team. I'd never look at a staff and hitters i was happy with and change it because the numbers weren't inline with a formula.

But, I'm not a Top 300 manager.
