ATG new card teasers (new for Wed. 9/14)

I agree that the loss of the Babe's bat for three games would not warrant using him as a pitcher in live leagues. Plus a starter in a four man rotation pitches in 2 out of every 3 series that are played so you would only be able to use his hitters card in 1 out of 3 series. It would be a great disadvantage to the owner of the Babe to try that method out.

Yet in a live league why wouldn't you swap out for the hitter card if that was possible?

In a live league, it would be pointless to draft the P card since there would be no penalty to simply drafting the card you wanted to use anyway.

Also, a 4-day starter pitches in 3 of every 4 series. I don't think that Ruth card merits pitching every 4th day in a live draft league, but the problem is that you would be taking a big LH bat out of the lineup to use him as a matchup lefty.

I predict that Joe Rogan will never pitch another inning in ATG. Wow, is that a hitting card.

Yeah, among the NeL cards, he should be somewhere between the Oscar Heavy Johnson & John Beckwith (a little less better vs RHP & a little better vs LHP) OPS area. A better OPS than Willie Wells & Chino Smith, I'm guessing. J. Gibson, Charleston & Stearnes will still be the big three NeL hitters, but Rogan is a real nice addition, with excellent position flexibility. Too bad he will be a 15 game inj. risk.

I'm on the road today, and I'd prepared a whole bunch of card teasers to post from my phone, but I stupidly forgot to deploy them to the live servers where you can see them. So until the next time I can get online with my computer (probably before Sunday), I'll leave you with this: there'll be more than 1 super small-ball hitter from 1894 in the first batch.
