Re: Roster Size and Draft Question

Postby nymets99 » Tue Sep 13, 2011 12:11 pm

[quote="blackjack57"][quote:fe3f84e2f2="Risden"]1. Does each team need to keep a 28-man roster throughout the season?

[b:fe3f84e2f2]2. For the first 2 rounds, why not give owners the choice of picking a pitching staff or the position players? As long as each team winds up with one of each, is this rule open to discussion?[/quote:fe3f84e2f2][/[b]

i think that teams selections should be made first, because i thought salary combination was going to determine draft order for rounds 3-7[/b:fe3f84e2f2]

You are picking the teams. He was just suggesting that you can pick for example in the first round the Red Sox hitters and the 2nd round the Padres pitchers while someone else can pick pitchers first and hitters 2nd. This is so you are required to pick a pitching staff in the 1st round and the position players for another team in the 2nd round.

Still picking the teams first, I just changed it so that you can now choose either the pitching staff or position player set first, instead of having to take the staff first and then hitter set. I'll add an example to clarify.

No problem!
Getting the rules straight before a season begins is always a grand idea. :D

I'll go ahead and ask for a randomizer, will assume that those I have not heard from will be ok with the changes, if not we can replace. We will use the ILC for the 1st round and then stratdraft for rds 2-7. [b:11812fb342]Delbird[/b:11812fb342] and [b:11812fb342]Getowt[/b:11812fb342] I will PM you usernames and pw's for stratdraft. 1st round no time limit, 2nd round 5 hours (hopefully no one will take that long), 3rd-7th rds tbd. Stratdraft allows proxy's, once I finish setting it up you will be able to proxy pitching staff's or hitter sets for the 2nd round.

Stradraft only shows AB's, IP's, and defensive ratings so you have to open a separate window to see stats/cards. I also have to input salaries manually, still working on that. Have to use whole numbers so I just set the cap at 10000 and moved the decimal two to the right for each player. When I finish we should be able to determine cap space left over after each pick.

Does anyone know if there is a list of SOMO team salaries divided between pitching staff and position players?
