"Strategic duplication?"
Reminds me of when "Friendly Fire" became "Collateral Damage."
Isn't it really like looking at someone's hand in poker, then being able to shuffle around the cards in YOUR hand? The aspect of direct competition using the same resources means the copier has an advantage over the person being copied, since the latter cannot change his cards, park etc.
motherscratcher is right: It's beyond copying, now that I think about it. It really is cheating. For example, you and I might both run the West Coast offense, but I'm not taking your players to run it against you. Nor do I know your plays beforehand, as someone who views my players will. It isn't copying a strategy so much as it is copying a strategy, then taking the resources required to run it. It's only fair if both managers get the same players. But since they can't, one of them is going to have a better chance at the strategy succeeding than the other, because the strat is dependent upon the players on the card.
(and I don't know why this didn't occur to me before).
