ATG new card teasers (new for Wed. 9/14)

Postby bernieh » Thu Sep 15, 2011 9:17 am

At any given time on a team, he will be either a hitter or a pitcher, not both. But, as you can do with any other player with multiple cards in ATG 6, you can switch to another card of his (thus, for example, hitter -> pitcher) in between series, if you pay the free agent drop penalty. I was convinced to leave it this way for various reasons, the strongest being that if you have him as a hitter, you'd need to take him out of your lineup for a full 3-game series if you want to switch to his pitching card and have him pitch during that series... which you're probably not going to want to do.

[quote:66fec32e0a]Valen, I am going to give YOU (and whomever else has an opinion) the choice of what Lou Brock's 1974 stealing numbers will be.[/quote:66fec32e0a]
I see your point about the number of opportunities with the 3-7 verses the 2-7,11. And you may be right.

In the end though I have known the Brock card as the 20-16 version for so long and that is the one I have been hoping for. So realizing I could be wrong about which set of ratings would be most effective I would prefer the 20-16 version. So unless others have strong feelings about it I would ask the ratings be corrected to the 20-16 which is what the cdrom game has.

Similar to Cobb's 3 current cards. The card with the best "lead" numbers has the worst "steal" numbers; the card with the best steal numbers has the worst lead numbers.........

Whatever the case with Brock, I'm afraid in this pool he is a 60m or 80m DH at best.

Ok, the players have been added.

There are [b:1431845822]40[/b:1431845822] of them (twice the number I'd initially planned). 20 hitters, 20 pitchers. Brock '74 is now a *3-7/- (20-16).

They're listed here.

You may now put them on your draft cards.

When I get back from lunch, I'll work on official announcements, clarifications, and documentation.

If you see anything broken, let me know. I do see that the "Other cards for this player in this player set" display is a bit messed up in the card popups for "double duty" players like Ruth.

...to get your team into the 24 team - 140m Aussie Rules before I pull my team to make some changes. 8-)
