First Games, New Cards

First Games, New Cards

Postby george barnard » Tue Sep 20, 2011 12:25 am

The first games with the new cards should have happened. What extraordinary feats did Duffy, Thompson et al. accomplish in their first 3 games? 9 for 10? 1 for 13 with 7 Ks?

Duffy hurt, Tanana and Score bombed, Tiant did well on my squad.

Of course, since I have a squad in the playoffs, HAL [b:3f065ca58b]always[/b:3f065ca58b] makes sure I have plenty of injuries on those nights, so maybe Duffy's injury was just a result of HAL's over-exhuberance carrying over to my new team as well!

Subsequent report: Aforementioned pitchers all pounded in second start, while the new Brock remains perfect -thrown out in all five steal attempts!

Is this advertised as "new and improved' but really same old stuff in new packaging?

Lou is under a special long term contract to me. He is obligated to not run hard for anyone else.
