New 24 Team ATGv6 Franchise League - full waivers on WED

[quote:4cd8dc014c="Paul_Long71"]dharma and I had a 25 player draft each picking 2 guys back and forth....well I picked 1, then he picked 2, then I picked 2 and so on......

we did it over the pm's and in 1/2 a day.......pretty smooth, nice to see that it can get done.

:D :D :D[/quote:4cd8dc014c]

Yeah, it went pretty smoothly. Just some minor weaseling of each other. And of course we're both over cap. Some cutting to do after waivers.

i just learned of this league recently and it seems like a very interesting theme for a league. I tried several times to get in but was rebuked each time. It took a little while for me to research the allotted teams eligible for each 'franchise' selection and by the time i was ready to officially join someone beat me to the team. I eventually learned a few shortcuts to assembling a squad but too late to enable me to join this league. Hopefully there will be another season built around these parameters and perhaps i can make my selections in a more timely fashion by then.
Have fun and good luck to one and all.

fraank,

next time, sign up first and then work on putting a team together. If there is no sign up and its just a public league, then yes, throw a team together and try to get in, but with these "sign up for a team first" leagues, go on and sign up

And, Fraank, there is ALWAYS another league to come.... Like Andy said, keep an eye on these boards - there are sign-up going on most of the time.

That is why I have yet to retire - gotta fund the habit (or start winning...., hmmm..... there's an idea!)

andy,

thanks for the reply and advice. i will definitely do as you suggest should another such league begin forming.
I must confess that it still was a lot of fun and very informative going through the process of putting together the teams which i attempted to claim. I appreciate the opportunity to delve a little deeper into the rosters and in the end at least being able to discover a few more 'bargain' type of players i can use in other leagues.

again, good luck

thanks gfdwarf. i have mainly stuck to the $200M leagues but i will certainly keep an eye open for such theme leagues, they certainly look interesting. These leagues do offer a good opportunity to dig a little deeper into the player pool and discover some that are helpful bargain priced players

hope you have many more seasons (and championships) left in you before you retire.

I think you hit on something there with this concept of 'winning', it would be a nice change of pace for me to experience that at least once

thanks for the encouragement and advice and good luck to you as well,
fraank
