What would happen if the clock was turned on. Maybe his proxy picks are not being made since the clock is off.

TallEd, that is a nice suggestion, but if he remembered to turn his proxies "on", then they would automatically go. Whether the clock is on or off doesn't matter.

If anyone out there wants to fill in for a missing owner, please let us know.

I see. But if the clock were on and his proxy picks were off, assuming he has made some, when his time limit was up would it not force a pick? If it doesn't, what purpose does the clock serve?

It lets the next person pick. The person who missed their pick can come on at anytime and make a pick or picks he missed.

[quote:5db6831162="LMBombers"]Apparently I made a bonehead pick with Juan Marichal. Why didn't someone tell me that you are not supposed to pick pitchers in a pitching league?[/quote:5db6831162]

It's funny. I haven't figured out what to do in this draft. I also thought about Marichal as my 1st pick. It's the strangest thing. Was Harper the stupidest pick I could make or a smart pick? Is Marichal a dumb pick or a smart pick? My official answer is "I have no clue"!! I guess that's what makes these theme leagues intriguing.
I've played in numerous leagues with $2M or less pitchers...but never the reverse.

APB for MIA RJ. Maybe he's so confused by the draft he is too traumatized to pick anyone.

rjnewman just posted in the Hall Of Fame league. Maybe he doesn't know the draft is active.

I say we wait to get in touch with RJ. Guessing he has no idea we started? He's a great owner to have in any league.

I was completely caught by surprise on Friday night when Dan texted me.

Ya know..in the future maybe that's what we need to do..get everybody's cell phone numbers and real email addresses so we can let them know it's their pick.
