Puling Reyes after one ab....really....As a lifelong Met fan I've come to realize they'll never be the Yankees....I love Reyes, he's my favorite Met, and I desperately want him back...but REALLY???? What a Bush League move by a Mickey Mouse organization.

I couldn't agree with you more. If he wins the batting title, MLB should put an asterix (*) next to his name. Let's go Ryan!

I was a Mets fan for the better part of 30yrs. But it's hard to be a fan, when you don't respect the Mets management and you don't like the players. :(

I think I like Sandy Alderson, but it's too early to make that call. I hope the wilpons let him do something big in the off season. (I really wish the Wilpons would just sell the team.)

I have to give Terry Collins some credit. I thought the Mets were a lock to lose around 100 games this year. So, in my mind they over-acheived. (especially when you consider no one played a full season, but that's not saying much...)

I am not a big Reyes fan. I could care less if he stays or if he goes. I am hoping he goes. Then they have to try and get rid of Jason Bay. So far, he has been a disaster considering his salary.

I hate it that I like the Phillies players better than my own hometown team. I really hope the Mets surprise and do something this off-season.

Rumors are that they are moving the fences in. Maybe to help Wright and Bay (if he can ever manage to play consistently.)

As a long time ANTI Met [in the Biblical sense of the word], Im not supprised, and how about the Met organization envoking there territorial rights and blocking the Staten Island Yankees from playing in Newark while the Staten Island stadium gets a face lift. A very low class organization. The owner showed who he is with his association with Madoff and the salary dump at the allstar break. Terry Collins did a good job considering the bunch of losers he was stuck with. Maybe if Reyes was with a class team [Yankees,Cards or even the hated Red Sox] he learn something about respecting the game. WHAT A BUM.

I agree with most of what you said. However, I think they had/have to dump salary and rebuild the organization (minors/and major league levels).

As far as Madoff goes, a lot of people were suckered in by him. Personally, I work in the back office for a brokerage firm and it boggles my mind how Madoff got away with his ponzi scheme for as long as he did.

And then just recently, you have a rogue trader (UBS) costing the firm billions of dollars in unauthorized trades.

All the regulations, laws and internal checks by both the brokerage firms, accountants and regulators and they still can't stop it.

While I am not crazy about the Wilpons, I have to give them a pass on that.

Child Support? I'm sure this guys will get a few hundred thousand votes,
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/07/29/tea-party-lawmaker-questioned-after-reports-unpaid-child-support/

And in the Republican primary next year, there will be a serial adulterer that served divorce papers to his soon to be ex-wife while she recovered in the hospital for removal of a tumor.

Baseball players don't have the market on Douchebaggery cornered, and no one will ever vote to send either of the BoSox mentioned to the Oval Office or a seat in Congress.
