The Rediculously Early Pre-Card draft - Chat Thread

[quote:9ce0fe2ad6="Frank M"]#1. With back to back picks does it really matter if I took him w/ my first pick or second? NO!

#2. Defensively he will be at least a 2, I think a 1 with a -3 arm.

#3. He would never have made back to me for my 3rd round pick.

#4. The Sluggers for the MOST part that are left are either First Basemen, DH type or Hitters w/ 15 game risks which I have no problem with.(See Napoli).

#5. Same for the OBA type as well.

Finally I believe it's a good pick and HOW many lead-off hitters slug over .500? In this set there might be 2-3 others. So I will stand by my pick. :D[/quote:9ce0fe2ad6]

Wow....now I'm even sold!! I'll trade Granderson for Gordon!!

I'm surprised Gonzalez lasted that long, he was one of my top 3 choices...

[quote:c8aee3d705="chasenally"]I also would worry about a .260BA. Bautista and Thome come to mind in this years set. Plenty of Hr's and Walks but hitting around .200. Granderson should do well though.

I[b:c8aee3d705] am suprised that the guy I was looking at[/b:c8aee3d705] along with Kemp is still on the board. Just let this guy slip alittle bit more for me guys. :)[/quote:c8aee3d705]

Yep it was Gonzalez DAMIT!

yea.. I was going to PM Frank and thisisray to see if either would bite and trading draft spots so I could grab Gonzalez and Napoli, but by the time I noticed they had both drafted

oh well.... I have 2 guys I really want left... hope at least on of the drops to me.

Actually, I had Fielder nosing out Gonzalez anyway...so I'm very happy he fell to me! Gonzalez versus lefties equals no HR power this year.

I'm a die-hard Red Sox fan (save your jokes!!), but his .400 slugging and only 3 HRs v lefties, is what steered me towards Prince instead. Now I just hope his card is better than it was this year!!

It just might. I am having a hard time not picking one. I will pick later tonight. I am sorry that it is taking this long but it is hard to make up my mind right now.

I am checking in to let you know that I have been on the boards. I am building a fence today and it just started to rain but not for long.

I just noticed this league is filled with people who play this game entirely too much. I'm not quite sure how we earn them, but most of the managers have 5 stars next to their names and the others have 4 stars.

What is this? Some kind of nerd-vana?
