HAL coding error in 2010 league

I thought this was a random event when it first occurred but the exact same substitution event occurred in a second game.

Miguel Cabrera (1b) is HBP w/injury.
HAL ignores Chone Figgins (1-17) who is designated as my pinch runner,
Denard Span (1-16) who is also available on the bench
Schumaker (1-12) who becomes the defensive replacement

and inserts my only backup catcher Lucroy (1-11) as a pinchrunner.

HAL then removes Lucroy and inserts Schumaker as the defensive replacement for Swisher who moved from rf to 1b in the next half inning.

This makes absolutely no sense and suggests a coding glitch.

Recently, HAL also utilized Alexi Casilla (not rated as a catcher) as a catcher replacement in an extra inning game, despite the fact that Lucroy, the only other eligible catcher, was available on the bench.

Anyone have any thoughts?

I think you accurately diagnosed the problem yourself!

I've seen glitches on my teams (defensive substitutions made when my team is behind; backup catcher put into a game late for no reason), but not quite as bad as what you describe.
