Before the stadium draft starts I thought I would suggest a slight rules amendment.

If the ball park you choose goes through major changes in it's dimensions. ( like the METS are discussing) then you are allowed a one time change to a new stadium which most resembles the stadium you had and is available.

for example if 4-4-8-5 now becomes 19-19-16-16, that would totally change the makeup of your team.

so if 4-4-9-6 was available you would then be allowed to pick that.

I know year to year there are always slight differences which are no big deal. I am talking about drastic changes.

Good idea or am I totally out to lunch, thougts?

If an owner's stadium dimensions changes by 6 or more in any one area (example Left Hr's goes from 1-6 to 1-12) or by 15 or more cumulatively that owner may change to an unowned stadium. This choice must be declared before the Spring FA draft begins.

I'd like to add, that the stadium they change to can't be a more drastic change. It should be as close as possible to the one they had.

I like your original idea better. We should be free to select any stadium if it meets the rules for it. But I could see what you're proposing happening by default (without it being mandatory).

I think the important thing about the rule, no matter how it's implemented, is that no owner should be put at a great disadvantage by a huge change in stadium dimensions, or a great advantage by changing to a new ball park that is also not similar to the one he had.

It should be as close as possible to the previous stadium.
