Stadium Draft- vote yes or no on rules change (see roscodog's post)

[b:40a32053e9]If an owner's stadium dimensions changes by 6 or more in any one area (example Left Hr's goes from 1-6 to 1-12) or by 15 or more cumulatively that owner may change to an unowned stadium. The new stadium's dimensions must be within 4 in each category (or as close as possible if none fit that). This choice must be declared when the Spring FA cuts are declared.[/b:40a32053e9]

Re: By the way-- Serious thanks to blackjack & Turtle & all

Postby fredpaii » Sat Oct 08, 2011 11:55 pm

[quote:fa982f4cba="Cubit"][quote:fa982f4cba="derfs"]In my abbreviated role as league starter and limited rules person here it has become very clear how well blackjack has run this draft and all. I mean, I am amazed and awed.

As for the other league I'm in my eyes have been opened there too. Turtle heads a 24-teamer that had a few habitual/chronic late drafters. It was driving me nuts drafting and loading in that league. I and others frequently let him know how we felt about that. That could not have been fun for Turtle as he witnessed the procrastinators and also had to deal with the normal drafters' frustrations with the league.

Turtle and blackjack, you are my hero's.[/quote:fa982f4cba]

As one person who is equally grateful to both Turtle and blackjack for their magnanimous and efficient operation of drafts, I share you r sentiments. Unfortunately, at times I've had life (and unavoidable, but openly announced trips to make, or things that kept me from my keyboard), but all in all most everyone has understood that SOMO is not life. I, for my part, do believe in responsibility and have always tried to let anticipated crises go forewarned; it is those that jump up and grab you that sometimes makes me look inattentive. I offer my sincere regrets and hope that apology will help.[/quote:fa982f4cba]

Time to move forward. You weren't even close to the worst of the bunch though. I've moved on and forgiven whether it's life or not.

Bump Propect draft instructions

Postby JMP1 » Sun Oct 09, 2011 7:41 am

Instructions for using stratdraft for prospects:

If you are up - "Draft Players, Non-carded player" - enter the player name, h or p, level, and 0 for salary. Make sure you spell the name right

To proxy - "Front Office, My profile", go to the "obtain id for pre-majors player" box near the bottom of the page. Input the name, h or p, level, and 0 salary. The system will assign an id (a# instead of s#) that only you will see. The prospect will appear in the Auxiliary Players box on bottom of page. Add the prospect to your list the same as before.

I have proxies set, but the last thing I want to do is pass somebody in the first round. Can somebody email Turtle. I doubt he knows the draft has started because he posted his stadium choice yesterday, but he didn't make a draft pick.

Picked, had no idea we had started the prospect draft ... I am traveling from Dallas back to Austin today. I covered the Red River Rout yesterday, so I've been a bit busy. Will be back home in 3 hours to make my second pick if it is my turn and figure out how to proxy. I'm already 15 minutes past checkout time at the hotel, so I am hitting the road now.

See you in 3 hours ... hopefully that wont hold things up too long.

I emailed Aray, hopefully he will make his pick. If we finish the first round today then the clock will go to 3 hours tomorrow, otherwise will stay at 5 hrs until Tuesday. If Aray or anyone else is skipped I'll pause draft at the end of the 1st for at least a few hours.
