Pitcher steals two bases

Pitcher steals two bases

Why? In the fifth, my pitcher Coombs, walks and then steals second and third. The pitch/catch number was plus 3. Coombs is a five at hitting but what is his running and stealing rating? My base stealing setting was on normal. Should be a box to check for the pitchers to not steal.

I have seen plenty of bad coaching by the sim.

Down by 2 runs bottom in the 9th with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the sim pinch runs for the player on 3rd base.

0 Outs and Mark Mcgwire is on 1st base, Mark Mcgwire gets thrown out at home trying to score. I could of had 2nd and 3rd no outs. I have had to tame it down to very conservative for the sim to quit making stupid base running decisions.

In one series my opponent with the bases load twice my opponent tried to steal home.

I cannot get the sim to pinch hit for my hitters even though I have them listed as avoid righties or lefties.

I had one pitcher who was a 8R, I did not want him to pitch to a left handed batter ever. I had quick hook on him and avoid lefties. He gave up 8 ER and pitched to about 10 lefties in that game. I had to release the player because I did not want the sim to use him against lefties.

Coombs stole 21 bases in his career, including 5 in 1911, his carded season. He hit .319-.356-.418 with 2 HR in 152 PA, which qualifies him as a slugger for the time.

The A's actually used him as an outfielder in 1908, when he hit .255 and stole 6 bases.
