**Theme League- DD complete - Auto-draft Tuesday/ Updates**

One spot has re-opened in this league due to a draft scheduling conflict.

The design of the league is to allow you to play $200m cap and allow an owner to rebuild a team more readily if the auto-draft goes bad. The intention is to prevent anyone from stockpiling players.

1) The roster is limited to 25 players.

**You must carry 15 hitters and 10 Pitchers. (You have the option to carry 24 players if you wish, but you can not exceed the 15H/10P rule).

2) Of the 15 Hitters - 10 hitters may be any price. The remaining 5 hitters must be less than $3.

2 Starting Pitchers (or (SP/RP) - maximum of 2 pitchers over $9

2 SP or SP/RP - maximum of 2 Pitchers w/SP rating $6 to 9

2 SP or SP/RP - maximum of 2 Pitchers w/SP rating $4 to $6

1 Pure reliever (closer type) - maximum of 1 pitcher w/RP only rating over $4

3 RP or SP/RP - 3 pitchers w/RP rating must be less than $4

***Please note if you carry a players lower card (or vice-versa) & convert it, your roster must still be in compliance w/the rules above. Bob Gibson is a good example, as he has 3 cards, 1 in each price range. If you decide to convert his card, you will need to make sure your SP at the other 2 levels are in compliance as well.***

4) DD Draft - There will be a 6 round draft on diamond dope.(Tentatively scheduled for this Thursday 10/13, provided the league is full.)

5) The remaining slots to be auto-drafted.

We have commitments to do the DD draft this Thursday if we can fill the remaining 6 spots. DrFreeze has requested the league autodraft on Monday or Tuesday next week to take advantage of the new cards -we will vote on that once the league fills.

One question about the SPs, are SP* included in there somewhere I'm not seeing or am I just overthinking. Can you have a 4 man rotation of SP*s?

(in that league, you could only have two SP*... in this league, no requirement you can go all SP* or all SP).

Note, that this has been amended to two SP >$9M (not 8) and two SP from 6-9.

You can use *SP or non *SP as long as you adhere to the $ cut-offs.

I changed the cutoff from $8 to $9, because a couple of the guys were saying no one could effectively use Adams or Reulbach at the $8 cutoff. There would be a tier of pitchers between $8 to $9 that would go unused at that level.

I think, IMO, in the current league that the *SP & non *SP rule was a bit restricting. There just aren't enough quality non *SP for the format. Plus, you have the Pedro loophole. So, for ex. - you could have Maddux, Alexander & Pedro in your rotation while other teams were making due with a $5 SP in their #3 slot. I think the $ cut-offs give owners more freedom to choose players out of the available player pool and still keep their rosters within parameters.

If this league does the DD draft Thursday night & then the auto-draft by the weekend, wouldn't the new cards be available since the Leagues season would not actually start until Monday night (10/17)? Isn't it considered a new league?

Or does it mean the new cards are available to teams starting their season the following Monday (10/24)?

If Bernie released the cards any day but Monday, it would be clear-cut for me. I am just not sure how that works.
