Question - Can we drop players that we draft or are we required to keep them on our teams?

my only requirement was that they are on your draft card. After the fact, you can drop as you wish.

But as a 100 mil league, there won't be a lot of high priced talent left, so even if they are injury prone, it may be worth holding onto them.

[quote:1d42ae7906="tcochran"]Very happy to have King Felix as my #4 pitcher. I think my starting rotation will do okay:
Justin Verlander
CC Sabathia
Madison Bumgarner
Felix Hernandez

Between them, in real life, they pitched for over 900 innings, had almost as many strikeouts, and have a combined ERA of 3.00 and WHIP of 1.14.

Not too shabby...[/quote:1d42ae7906]

I am not sure if my numbers add up but my batting goes something like this. 6 players BA .298 OBP .361 SLG .525 OPS .886.

Weaver/Fister/Cueto
Pitching with only 3 starters. 608 IP 448 SO with a 1.05 WHIP. They only gave up 39 HR for a rate of 0.58 per 9 INN in 67.6 starts for the year.

My fielding is where it all goes south with the iron glove and concrete shoes :(

Way too much time on my hands tonight!

well I should have 2's at 2B and SS, and a 1 in CF (at least I'm hoping). Batting, if I average it out, would be:

0.312 BA 0.365 OBP 0.497 SLG 0.862 OPS with 134 HR and 267 doubles. But of course always playing the strat game, just a measly .798 vs L and an .874 vs R.

Of course with the injuries that won't happen. But it looks nice on paper!
My pitching staff is depending on J Johnson getting a card by TSN in the leashed game. If he does, I'll have the best non * SP in the set and an anchor in my rotation. If not, it will be hard to replace that.

I ad it done thru the end of the 11th, now it's up to the current pick.

I'll be going out for the day in a couple of hours. Hopefully Chase pick by then or I won't post till this evening.

I am pretty happy with Murphy this late with a .320BA. My quess is he will be be a high injury risk. Had a Flag Football game with my kid today so sorry it took me so long to pick. I will keep watching to see if geekor picks.

It is getting really hard to find players for me now. I am glad that it is almost over but this has really been fun.

Who's your steal in the draft so far? I am liking Francouer (6th RD) for me. He never gets picked and I like his 47 Doubles and hoping this is his best card in the last 5 years. I wanted P. Hunter but Frank got him. No one ever seems to pick that guy and thought he would slip.

I'd hate to see you stressing all winter about Johnson, geekor. I drafted Johnson in visick's league. 4 GS's and 29 2/3 innings are all that's needed for a leashed SP card. He's got 9 and 60. Look at RJ from a few years ago.

Same innings. $6.7M. RJ's K's bump his price but JJ holds his own in that department. RJ has 6 BPHR's. JJ will have none which increases his value. Crazy WHIP and ERA = $8M?
