I've only made a few trades. They were proposed by more experienced players, and I don't think I was taken advantage of, but with my level of expertise I can honestly say I'm not sure.
I've offered a few trades that I thought made sense that haven't been accepted. I didn't think they were ridiculous. My hope would be that if I offered a dumd trade, the other player might let me know exactly why it was dumb.
That being said, I can't envision a scenario where I'm offering up Bonds for Cristobal Torriente and and Jim Thome. Or Vice Versa.

Could it be when a person drops a good player it is because they were frustrated nobody would offer them fair value? There have been times I had more talent on my roster than I could afford but could not get anyone to give me fair value for anyone. In the end I chose to drop one of the players and let it be first come first serve rather than accept a completely unfair trade.
Bottom line: When I want to do trading and put a little effort in I usually make a half dozen or more trades per team. Trades are possible if you are reasonable and fair with what you ask and offer. Just saying consider the possibility if you are finding trading impossible that it might be your approach. Not saying it always is but or even is the case most of the time but a possibility you should consider if consistently unable to do any trading.

Absolutely you have a right to voice your opinion. Nobody, especially me, is telling you that you do not have that right. When you post that opinion on a public board though everyone else has a right to express their opinion about your opinion. Lighten up. I solve the uneven trades like Nev posted by just hitting decline. I handle the multiple offers by simply responding that players they want are not available or stating they will need to up their offer a lot. Result: I do not have the problem you describe.
