I'd prefer DD if we could launch right away, but early next week my travel will make that option untenable for me. I have no problem with autodraft; it seems some are more comfortable with that anyway.

After considering people's comments on the draft issue, including several PMs and emails, it seems that there is no strong consensus. Since mostly everyone signed up for an autodraft league, and without a strong consensus for change, let's keep the autodraft format.

As a practical matter, while I wouldn't mind trying a live DD draft, I think a DD draft is too unwieldly for a 24 team league. Teams at either end will go more than 40 picks between choices. How can anyone possibly proxy for that? Plus, not everyone can check the computer every couple of hours to see if their pick has come up. For those who have the luxury of checking their computers often during the day, it's a huge time drain, not to mention that it will take far longer to do a DD draft than the autodraft, even for just a few rounds.

I need a couple of hours to get my team prepared and get the league set up as an autodraft league. Once that's done I'll email the password to teams in the East. If coachgil11 wants to get back in, I'll take my team out of the East once some teams get loaded. I'll stay in the east if Gil doesn't get back in while we search for a replacement, who can take my slot in the Midwest, so that we don't hold up the draft.

I drafted my team and created the league. Man, that was tougher than I thought it would be, as our league rules prevented me from using any of the Negro Leaguers who are usually on my team.

The league is in the private league section. It is the 1946-2009 league. I'm in the process of sending a PM with the password to all the mangers in the East. As each division fills, I'll PM the password to teams in the next division.

I had to draft and enter my team to create the league. I'll get my team out of the East once it starts to fill, as my team is assigned to the Midwest.

The full player set was used in creating the league, so when you are creating your team, DO NOT click on the Post WWII subset.

Remember to select only players with the years 1946-2009 on their cards. Any players outside that range assigned in the autodraft must be dropped before the season starts.

Also, don't forget that only stadiums dated 1946-2009 can be selected.
