Baseball, what is the point of baseball it's stupid

As a baseball fan I should be excited/into the World Series but as a Phillies Phan I'm about as excited as watching the Little League World Series.

I'm a Colorado Rockies fan. We were supposed to win the National League West this year. Look how the season turned out for us.

I stopped watching baseball in early September, and I agree with Bernie's subject line!

As a Phillies fan, watching and paying attention to baseball is much less fun than it used to be. Nowadays, winning the WS is the goal every year, and games up to that point are meaningless, and that isnt as fun as when the Phillies used to be middling or worse, when making the playoffs was an accomplishment, and the Reg Season meant something. Of course, when the Phillies become bad again i will likely be wanting us to be WS favorites every year

The Rangers are fun to watch--I love the tenacious style engendered by Ron Washington's (and Ryan's) leadership. They have moxie.

The Cards are in a great baseball city. Lived there for 2 years--although not a Cards fan, they have Yankees-size egos that match up with LaRussa's hairstyle and big brain.

Only bad thing about St Louis is if you walk past the symphony hall 1 block, you will be in an episode of COPS, almost a sure thing.

Maybe the matchup is bad for MLB bottom line with smaller TV markets, but maybe this will help seed some more interest in other moderately large markets besides east and west coast if there are some sustained winning habits.
