New here, could use some help.

I really like Morales as a hitter but he will get injured a lot. Therefore, it's good practice to have an able backup (for cheaper money) that can come in and do almost as well. Especially for a 5 injury player like Morales.

Kendry will probably miss at least twenty-five to forty games. If you can find someone that can back him up with HR power that would be great.

What's available in CF? If you could get a lefty-swinging CFer that would help.

I really like the starting pitching with those two new guys you're adding.

The way I won my first 2010 league...

Postby fredpaii » Fri Oct 21, 2011 12:09 pm

I won my first 2010 league division by copying a guy who won 108 regular season games. He posted his team and I copied it almost player for player. So reading these boards is a good idea. You can always read back pages to look for exceptional teams (W-L record) that were posted. People do that sometimes.

After your experience in this league you will have some info on teams that did well. That can only help you for the future.

Another mistake I made earlier was assuming McCann was less expensive than Posey. He's not. Just a little over Posey. I still prefer McCann for you though.

one other thing

When we correspond out in the open like this, it's dangerous.

I usually like to correspond via TSN PM. Just hit your name where it says, "Hi, *levcohen" and you'll see a page come up with "private message box" in the upper right.

Click on that and you'll be able to send messages to whomever. I'm obviously "derfs". You can always reach me at derfs. A whilte envelop will come up in the upper left of my page after you click send on your correspondence. And after I send you a return message the same for you.

People from your league can read the board here and get your strategy and play accordingly. I'm guessing the trade you pulled off was offered to you after I said something about Wright. Trading Howard for Wright wasn't the best thing for you. I like Wright but you play in a lefty leaning power Park. Best strategy there would have been to either wait until Wright was cut or get someone like McGehee from free agency if available. But keep Howard.

Did you make the initial offer?
