ATG6 1946-2009 league, $100 mil DH, 24 teams, 5/10/20, FULL!

Thank you everyone for your comments and questions. I know that everyone is eager to get the league going and I appreciate everyone's patience thus far. I've known Larry (larbear18) for a about a year and a half and he is a good guy and good manager and a responsible person. I don't think that he's had a team since ATG4 and he obviously has a lot of catching up to do. We exchanged emails on Sunday and he has known the password since it was first sent out.

I know that he is looking forward to playing in this league and that he is doing the best he can to get his team entered ASAP.

In an ideal world he would have been randomly assigned to the West so that he would have more time to get up to speed on the cards. Hopefully Larry will get his team in tonight. If not, we'll consider some alternatives on Tuesday. - Bernie W

I'm with you there! Given the parameters of our league the draft will be most interesting - and likely to be of great interest to the purveyors of Tums and Alka-Seltzer!

If it is an autodraft whats the point of loading in certain divisions anyway? Why can't we just load?

I just heard from Larry. He knows that the natives are getting restless. He says that he should have his team entered Tuesday night. I've temporarily entered my team in the East to move things along and when it comes time for the Midwest to load, I'll pull my team out and Larry can enter his team in my vacated spot in the East and I'll go in the Midwest where I belong.

P.S.: In theory, the autodraft is the great equalizer, but it rarely works out that way. The playing field gets leveled a little more by the waiver draft and the free agent period. The reason divisions were randomly assigned is to prevent managers from jockeying to jump into a division with other managers with inferior records.

Just let Larry enter when he is ready. I only mentioned it was him because people sign up and forget. If he did not forgot we are OK. But then when the loading drags, other people forget also. 24 is a lot of people to organize.

It looks like there is a possibility that the Central will fill tonight, so the password has been PMed to the Midwest teams. To those in the Midwest, please wait for the Central to fill before you enter your team.

Also, to those in the Midwest and West, you've had a longer time to think about your team than those in the East and Central, so hopefully the Midwest and West teams can be loaded more quickly. If all teams are entered by Friday night, we can begin play Monday, October 31. If not, we'll have to wait until November 7 to begin play.

Based on my emails with Larry, it looks like his team will be ready late tonight, so I'll take my team out of the East so his team can be entered there and after a few tweaks, I'll load my team in the Midwest where the randomizer put it. Since the Midwest will likely fill about the time tonight's scores are coming in, the password has been PMed to the West teams. To those in the West, please wait for the Midwest to fill before you enter your team. Once the West fills, the autodraft will be held and we'll all get to see our teams.

Also, to those in the West, you've had a longer time to think about your team than those in the other 3 divisions, so hopefully the West teams can be loaded more quickly. If all teams are entered by Friday night, we can begin play Monday, October 31. If not, we'll have to wait until November 7 to begin play.

The league sign up and filling has been an extremely smooth process thus far and has happened far quicker than we've come to expect. It suddenly dawned on me that since it will be at least 5 hours before the Midwest is full (hopefully around 11 P.M. Eastern time), this may be a good time for some managers to temporarily withdraw their teams and make some last minute tweaks to their draft list. Just make sure that you go back into the right division.
