Curious, did you factor Bryce Harper in to your evaluation there or do you think he still needs more seasoning? If he is ready next year and as advertised there could be your LH bat. Pujols would then be a nice anchor.

Texas has a lot of faith in Moreland and have a couple kids in minors who could be ready for a shot, not to mention the need to keep first base open for Young and Napoli to get some ABs.

Also, if Pujols is thinking about his legacy and finishing as career leader in HRs and possibly several other counting stats he will want to avoid parks like Seattle like the plague. Signing with them would be a career killer.
Detroit is an interesting possibility I had not considered. You could have something there. But that ballpark again would cut down on his offensive numbers similar to Seattle.
If I were him I would talk to 3 teams, Cards, Chicago, and Texas. All 3 offer stat friendly ballparks. Cards and Rangers with him anchoring lineup should be perennial playoff contenders. I might even give both home town discounts. Wrigley would help his offensive numbers but they seem to have a knack for inventing ways to mess up playoff runs. I only use them to drive up the price for other teams.
Of course I go back to Rangers being happy with first base situation. Signing Pujols would have to cut in to the playing time of Young or Napoli which is undesirable. Full effort will be put in to resigning CJ before even considering Pujols. Albert would have to be considered a long shot second choice ala Beltre if they cannot resign Wilson and choose to make an offensive splash as plan B.

If Pujols never played another game, he'd be a unanimous first ballot selection for the Hall of Fame. I think that's a good measuring stick for greatness.

P.S. He'd never sign with a team that wanted to make him a DH. He takes a lot of pride in being one of the best defensive first basemen around. And he's too involved mentally in every aspect of what's going on in the game to want to spend it sitting on the bench waiting to bat.

Quick note on Pujols to Detroit - NO WAY! ... What happens to Miguel Cabrera (signed through 2015), Victor Martinez (signed through 2014), and Alex Avila (under team control 3-4 more years)??

LOL, Kendrys hasn't played in 2 seasons, who knows if he will. Trumbo will never be a great player. Any player with his inability to draw walks and swings like that (check his minor league + major and similar players) won't ever amount to a good player. There are many who has similar career arcs, and all were not starting a a couple of seasons, out of baseball in 6-8. He was a nice fill in, but no one to build around.
