Big Al. That's what you get for trading with a shark like Joe. :D

Congratz Joe! I like the deal you made too. Amazing what you can get for Tulo! I'm gonna consider drafting him from now on, just to deal him for more than he's worth! 8-)

And thanks for the heads up on my RP's. I made a mistake when I rushed my team settings prior to the start of the league. I spent so much time looking at your team, I forgot to check mine!

I've fixed it now, and Thornton has been getting the innings he deserves.

We are

already in desperation mode. Thought it couldn't get any worse and pulled the trigger. Tulowitzki now is healthy, so we'll see what he can do for us. Janish looks like he's feeling well in his new surroundings.

Silver, We're better at 1b, but a lot worse at SS. At least when Tulo is playing. And, that's the crux of taking or trading for a guy like Tulo. You hope to get lucky (or at least not unlucky) with him. I said that when we took him. Didn't work out. When he has playing he was hitting the ball well. Took a look a Prado, but doesn't look like there is something there that will work.

Zim, yeah, I'm such a "shark" that I have a < .400 win pct and haven't made an NLD playoff in forever.

Big M, well, it's a classic two pretty darn good players for one very good player and one meh player. If Tulo stays healthy, or at least reasonably so for Big A, he'll have gotten the best of the Deal. Votto doesn't exactly match my park. Sorry I mentioned your RPs, you didn't need any help!

Big A, Yeah Janish has been on fire. You can hope, but I'm not sure I should count on him hitting .360 with a .650 slugging the rest of the way. ;) 8-) It's a trade that two struggling teams make.

We're not done making moves. Going to be moving some bench/platoon players or making a trade. Stay tuned.

Annnnnnnd....

The other shoe drops and Stoney and I make a deal.

Votto and Bonifacio (who I hated to give up)
for
Pujols and Uribe.

Uribe was cut along with Maier and Valdez and we picked up
Milledge, Peralta and Kelly.

I probably should have looked at moving Fontenot for an upgrade at 2b, but didn't think of it till it was too late.

Maybe tomorrow. ;)

Well, this is interesting all three teams involved in the trades swept tonight! :D

Hey, anyone else want to trade with me???? :P

Gotta say we got a few big breaks to win the first two. A 1-3 RFx and a 1-5 BPHR helped out quite a bit.

Seven straight wins. Gosh, this game is more fun when you win once in awhile! 8-)

Tulowitzki finally get on the field for us, batting .231 and making 2 errors in 3 games ....

Hey, joe, didn't Votto have a no-more-trades-this-season clause in his contract?

Big A,

Votto was more than happy to agree to a trade that moved him up seven games in the standings! ;)

True Tulo didn't play well, but Huff has been hitting for you. Of course, Tulo's debut was sparking compared to Albert's .091 last night! Not that I'm complaining, if we win every series that he hits .091 in we'll be quite happy! :P

So, I guess in the final analysis (at least to date)

We traded:

Tulo, Huff, Jai Miller, Valdez and Bonifacio
for
Janish, Pujols, Milledge, Kelly and Peralta

Earlier move was
Madson and O'Flaherty
for
Downs and Masset

Ok, Silver and DT, what do you think of the team now?
