I believe I went Randolph, Kingman (praying for '79) and Gamble, I think. Can't remember the 3rd guy but I know I had many of the same suspects, Smalley, Swan, etc.

I was hoping to platoon Kingman with Jason Thompson but it doesn't look like I will get Kong. I have never used him before and it looks like I can continue to say that!

Please post the team drafts from this, I wanted to do this league, I didn't expect it to fill so fast and waited one day.

I figured that everyone that has a value between 3-4 million would get selected very early. i would have tried to list as many players that fell into that category as I could squeeze onto the roster.

Armas
Harrah
Hargrove
Jody Davis
and I think Luzinski or Aikens

I think that this league is going to be a blast, I definitely think that you will see some strange numbers.

Similar Leagues

Postby Jablowmi » Mon Mar 27, 2006 4:27 pm

For those interested, we've done similar leagues in the past:

Here is my team in the under $4M offense league. You could play at any stadium and could have a single offensive player over $4M, but couldn't drop him. There was no limit on pitching.

Here is my team in the under $4M pitching league. Same rules, but reversed.

Like many of my teams, both lost in the semis........

I had lots of the same guys:

1. Gamble
2. Aikerns
3. Gossage
4. Gibson
5. Randolph

The autodraft is gonna be crazy.

OK, I'm at home now. My actual top 10 picks were:

Doran
Armas (won't get)
Smalley
Luzinski
Jason Thompson
Mark Davis
Floyd Youmans
Tim Burke
Goose Gossage
Greg Minton

I put Pettis at #20 just in case I missed Armas and no one picked him higher. It looks like I will need this insurance but I am sure someone else will have him higher and I will be out of luck on that one too.

On some of the other hitting positions that I did not pick in my top 10 picks I assumed the top guys would be gone for sure so I picked from the next tier of players hoping to get them. For instance I went for Larry Parrish at 3B, a Jim Dwyer/Calderon platoon for RF, Nokes at C, Kemp in LF. I also had Gibson, Jody Davis and Harrah but looks like I won't get them for sure.

I wonder if waivers will be a scramble for the 75¢ players!
