Originally from Florida. Moved to the city about 6 years ago. San Francisco is a pretty great place but I would like to live a little bit outside of it. Unfortunately my girlfriend is not of the same mindset as I am. We all know who wins that argument.

[quote:96b384edf5="george barnard"]Was a small child in the City (if you have to ask which city, then you're probably not in the conversation). Moved to Danville in the late 60s when Danville was decidedly lower middle class and filled with really great folks. I live in France now, but my mom is a resident of Elk Grove.

Obviously that of which Stephen Perry sings. Not to mention where little over-priced cable cars climb half-way to the stars.

I was born and raised, and still live, in the middle part of the state, not near the coast........Florida that is, central Florida. Of course it is impossible to be much more than 70 miles from the coast in FL no matter where you are.

Journey Songs:
The Lights - San Fran
City of the Angels - LA.

Lights a more famous (and generally better) song. But even there, Perry sings of both.

Almost became a Californian in the late '80's until an earthquake changed my mind :D would have settled around San Francisco.

My brother lived in Fremont for about 25 years.

I lived in LA from 90-96: riots, earthquake, OJ.

Born and grew up in Queens, now live in Brooklyn, but remember LA fondly.
