I know it is early I thought this team would be better. Should I make some subtle changes or ride it out...???

Any suggestions?

You're ONLY 33 games in.

PATIENCE young grasshopper.

I do think you could have gone a little cheaper on the pitching, considering your park.

That is one rough fielding team. Are you actually starting Reddic vs. LHP on purpose? I don't think I would.

I'm also thinking you overspent on your bullpen. I don't think your #4 relief guy will pitch anywhere near enough innings to justify 2.31 million in a DH league. Having 4 guys with a C rating isn't all that cash efficient either. Depending on what's out there, if it's a 5% drop, I would think about downgrading one your relievers to upgrade somewhere defensively. Ibanez, Jeter and McGhee are your worst park fits, so that's where I would start.

I love the big three SPs. I think the problem will ultimately end up being defense. The Uggla-Jeter combo will be hard to overcome, not to mention a few others.

In addition, there's too much in the bullpen and not enough in the 4-5 SPs (esp w/out the defensive support).

Worse than these problems is a salary dump. Work the trade lines or just ride it out, watch and learn. The offense is strong and some favorable dice might put some wind at your back - it's way too early to tell your ultimate fate from here.

Reddick was a short term experiment against LH SP, his IRL splits favor left handers...

39 player(s) no longer on roster

Postby The Biomechanical Man » Tue Nov 08, 2011 12:15 am

Sorry, Dale, but you just transformed your team from a slight chance of success to no chance of success. By dropping an [i:a0b644a1c3]impressive[/i:a0b644a1c3] 39 players in the last few days, you are now competing against $80m teams with a $40m team. You are cooked. More drops will just make it worse.

In the future, drop players sparingly.

I don't this guy will ever learn. He has fielded numerous teams and posted links to his teams on the forum here several times. Every time it's the same story. His team was not well drafted and/or set up well in the preseason. He struggles early on and starts dropping players left and right despite multiple posters (myself included) saying "DON'T DROP YOUR PLAYERS! WAIT IT OUT!!!" He doesn't listen, his teams continue to stink and he ends up losing 100+ games. According to TSN, he has played 51 teams and has a .430 winning percentage. That's 70-92 for those scoring at home.

I think the veterans here, while their hearts are in the right place, are only causing carpal tunnel trying to help this guy out. Sorry to be so blunt, but geez. Enough's enough, already.

My apologies to the vets with regards to this team....This is one I take full responsibility of screwing up top to bottom....I have learned my lesson about not dropping players.

I have two other 2 week old teams and have taken the sage advice to work the trade lines and be patient instead of jumping to convolutions. So, it is sinking in.....I just at times get so frustrated when a team losses 2 or 3 of three each and every night.

I really do appreciate the assistance everyone gives...sometimes it takes a 2x4 to hit me in the head......
