Don't worry Claw, Splinter has thick skin. He'll get over the name-calling. Splinter has been around long enough to have seen owners with different screen names sabotage leagues. To Mosser's point, it's not worth the money to do something like this, but it has happened.....so it makes the old veterans pause when they see dual screen names by the same person.

I have been around since 06 and I didn't even give a thought to cheating. I did wonder what gives here. Who is talking about whom? That would have been my question if I was smart enough to catch the multible users.

As for cheating we are all smart enough to know that spending 2 credits to MAYBE get 2 credits back smells like a Leftist way to spend your way out of the hole we are in. :twisted:

I had the same problems. 23 playoff teams, only 2 champions. I had a bunch of suspicious moves by HAL. I sent copies of the box scores to tech support as well as posting them here. No one could provide me with a suitable answer and made no apologies about it.

I haven't played a team since. Until I know the glitch is fixed, I am not wasting any money on a 100 win team just to watch my mop-up reliever come in in a 1 run game. I miss it, but the lack of an explanation was the last straw. Hopefully, SOM will care more about their customers than SN did.

I haven't been around long (long enough to experience the joy of Hal, though), so should probably keep my nose out of this, but ...

Maybe it's as simple as karma intervening to smack down someone who's circumventing the spirit of the game (by having multiple user accounts) to save a few bucks.

Don't get me wrong, HAL's a ***** sometimes, and sure it's frustrating when something freakish happens (seemingly way too often) to cost you a game, but this example sounds more like sour grapes.

In strat, I once had 16 consecutive playoff teams not win a title. I've also stolen a few with bad/lucky teams, though. If you're winning 100 or games all the time, congrats. That's pretty good playing by anyone's standards.

In real life, good teams lose a lot on the playoffs. I think the Braves were in nearly every year in the 90s and won once. The Yankees won 4 out of 5 titles and then have gone 1 for 11 in this Century (I count 2000 as last Century).
