24 Team League Drafting and Waiver Tips

24 Team League Drafting and Waiver Tips

Postby LA Bear » Tue Nov 15, 2011 9:24 am

Wow - I just participated in a 24 team draft and waiver day, and I can sum it up as "Wow!".

(1) Quality SPs, Closers and Catchers are tough to come by. Depending on the stadium you choose, the SP and general RP concerns are something to prioritize.

(2) Big bats $9M+ should be planned for, or you will have trouble spending your $80M.

(3) Platoons! Plan for it. On my 1st team it looks like I'll be going into the season with Schneider/Shoppach at C. :?:

Any other thoughts on 24 team drafts and waivers?

I'm pretty opposed to 24 team leagues based on their current format. I would certainly only think about doing one in ATG where the player pool will cover you in a bad draft.

Stick to $60MM leagues.

24 team league thus far is very exciting! Not much to choose from after the draft. I'm anxious to see how things work out. Alot of pitchers being used that would not see a roster usually. WOW sums it up. Hold on, could be a bumpy ride!

I find the 24 team 60M format to be the most entertaining
