Jon,

Tris was hitting the bottle pretty hard all season and Rogers cares about nothing other than his own stats.

Stan's an upright guy, but he's too interested in signing autographs for kids and often shows up late at the park.

As for Pete, well, he's never been the same since Maddux got a card priced higher than him.

But mostly, the team suffered from unbelievably poor management.
