Pitchers left in to hit then taken out

Pitchers left in to hit then taken out

two outs, men in scoring position -- HAL leaves the pitcher in to bat (a #3). Then in the top of the inning, he is removed for a reliever with an assignment (setup) before throwing to a batter.

This logic needs to be corrected so the computer manager looks at the hitting situation and not just the pitching roles.

I'm pretty sure I saw Ron Washington do the same thing in the World Series.

Billy Beane: Tell him how easy it is, Wash.
Ron Washington: It's hard. It's incredibly hard.

I've had the same thing happen. Very frustrating.

I've also had the pitcher left in to hit when I would have liked him removed, only to blow the lead the next inning, but that's just bad luck. Unless the pitcher hits better than anyone on the bench, he should be pulled if the pitching change is happening, anyway.

I wouldn't fret. I'm sure the rebuilt site will correct the problem.
