RAISE THE MOUND ATG VI - LEAGUE FORMED AND LOADING

Our historical single season sets

Postby Paul_Long71 » Tue Dec 13, 2011 3:24 pm

Dan, you posted an error. For ATG, you need 4 pitchers who can relieve, but only 3 that must be PURE RELIEVERS. Check it again, that is what the help site says and what the main page says when you are putting together your autodraft card....and there are no closers in ATG.

Goto the help page again and make sure you click on the ATG. You copied the rules for the 200X games

"2007-2010, 1999, Btt90s | ATG IV, V, VI | 1986

You must choose exactly 11 pitchers. At least:
5 of your pitchers must have a starting pitcher endurance rating (e.g. S6).
4 of your pitchers must be "pure" relievers (i.e. a relief rating (R2) but no starter rating).
1 of your pitchers must have a closer endurance rating (e.g. C4).
You must choose exactly 14 hitters.
2 of your hitters must be eligible to play catcher. "

Can somebody tell me what rules we are playing with?Exactly

The rules are what Paul put up.
At least 9 pitchers, but you'll have to do 10 for the autodraft.
At least 5 pitchers who can start, and at least 3 pitchers that are pure RPs.
You'll end up with one or two, or more, pitchers that are rated both for SP and RP. Those pitchers count for your starter requirement, but won't work for the 3 pure RP requirement.

Rj,

when you get to the page you posted, you MUST click on the ATG IV, V, VI section in the middle and the rules for that game will come up.

You are on the right page rich (the link to the RULES), you just have to click on the ATG IV, V, VI link right above the roster requirements. Then they match those posted by dharmabums here.

Clock

I vote yes. Rj has had one pick in 3 days. At the rate we are going it will be Feb 2012 before the games start. Factoring in a probable slowdown between Xmas and New Years Day as people travel and spend quality time with family it could be longer. Rip Van Winkle could participate in this draft.

Set a few proxies. If a pick winds up getting skipped because the proxies were all taken, you can make your pick as soon as you log on. Given the size of the pool and the similarity of so many of the cards available the difference in selections will be very small.

I apologize for the rant. If I have offended anyone I apologize for that too. Lets get this thing moving

I understand wanting things to move along faster. I do. No apology necessary since that was less rant than just giving the draft process a mild push which is always good.

These drafts always tend to start slow though and the pace tends to pick up. At this point it has been 38 hours since the first pick and we have made 22 picks. Paced out that would put us finishing in just under 14 days. Since I expect the pace to pick up with or without a clock, I fully expect to be done drafting no later than next Wednesday. Call me an optimist but am confident we will make that.

I am certainly ok with a clock though. :D
