Stratomatic having awesome sale on some boardgame card sets

I just bought the 1990, 2004, and 2007 sets for $25 total which is crazy. Can't wait. As a Sox fan it is gonna be great to have the years they won the World Series. I used to have a few card sets in the 80's but my parents threw them out when I was in college. I bought the 2001 card set as an adult later on but that is the only one I have right now.

Do you play a friend or solitaire?

I usually play with a friend but I've played a lot of solitaire as well. Just found out a coworker was a fan of stratomatic growing up too so I invited him to come over and play a series as well. I usually play a best of 7 series or best of 5 with various friends.

I have like 3 current series going on right now. This online version is awesome but I don't think anything beats actually playing the game and scoring it yourself. It's just impossible to find the time and enough people to do anything like playing out a season like we can with the online version.

If my old man comes to visit for the holidays I'm sure we'll play a few games. I know board games are outdated but I also just like collecting the card sets.

I used to play with a friend once in a while. That was way back though. I recently asked Palmtana if he would like to play but then he moves out of my area. Bad timing I guess.

If you buy one of these years, does this include the board game pieces and charts or just the cards? Is there a section where you can buy the other parts necessary to play the game, if not include. Just wonder if you buy a certain year, what all is included. Thanks

They ended the sale . . . no Christmas present to myself, I guess. Wish they had announced it would end, like, Christmas Day. >.<
